Music is a huge part of my life–my music is my life–so it’s natural for me to use music to help me in my writing. This is the ‘playlist’ I used for Surviving On A Whisper (yes, Taylor Swift and Evanescence are my two favorite artists. Judge me how you will). Each song set a scene for me in my novel. Some I listened to to help me create a mood for a scene, and other scenes are literally ideas that I got from lyrics. Either way, the music made it more real for me and maybe it will for you too. I mean, everybody wants a soundtrack for their life right?
